Becoming a Member
Regardless of your membership status, you are welcome at The Chapel of the Good Shepherd!
If you have been baptized, confirmed or received at Good Shepherd you are already a member. If you’ve come to Good Shepherd from another worshipping community, or if you have not been baptized, then you may become a member through one of the following ways: baptism, confirmation or reception, or by transferring your membership from another Episcopal congregation. We invite you to make The Chapel of the Good Shepherd your spiritual home. Together we can grow in spirit and service.
Baptism
All ages are welcome. If you are interested in baptism for you or your child, please contact us.
Confirmation and Reception
A baptized adult can make a public and mature affirmation of their faith through confirmation or reception. Confirmation/reception is an important component of membership as only those ages 16 or over who have been confirmed or received can vote and serve on the vestry.
Membership Transfers
As an Episcopalian from another congregation, you can become a Good Shepherd member by transferring your membership. You can do this by either contacting your former parish or by contacting our Senior Warden, who will initiate the transfer. It’s easy to do!
